As the statutorily required company representative "to receive and forward any legal service of process served on an entity during litigation," our primary responsibility is to forward such material to the appropriate contact within the company in a timely manner. Given our responsibility, it is imperative we have current company contact information on file. Please ensure your company contacts are updated as needed.  You should also provide us with your company fiscal year end (FYE) and advise if you have LLCs taxed as a corporation.  This information is needed for our courtesy annual report reminders.

On each occasion where a client appoints us as agent for an entity, our registered agent coordinator sends an email asking that updated contact information and SOP delivery instructions be provided whenever necessary. Until provided, the individual who originally appointed us as registered agent remains the only contact on record and all SOP received will be forwarded by Federal Express to that contact.

CorpDirect EMS provides clients with various alerts including an alert of entities with unverified company/contact information. This is a quality control feature of EMS which ensures clients keep current information on file. Immediately upon receiving the mentioned e-mail, clients should sign in to CorpDirect.com, click on the EMS tab and complete the Update Your Company/Contact Information form or at a minimum verify the information on file.

EMS is designed to maintain all important corporate registration information. When providing current company contact info, clients should additionally add all corporate related data to EMS such as corporate officer and director information, stock structure, etc. that needs to be managed and used for administrative purposes and future filings. Other important corporate information must be on file as well such as entity type for federal tax purposes, Federal Employers Identification Number, and Fiscal Year End Date. This data is used by EMS to provide annual report reminders.
