If searches are to be used for pre-employment or tenant screening purposes, you must order using our screening services order form.

Searches are of one (1) main court location only; additional searches required if felony and misdemeanor indexes in separate courts.

County Criminal History (7 years) - Felony and Misdemeanor

• $25 service fee plus any county fee
• 7-year searches used for pre-employment or tenant screening purposes
• Additional years optional at an additional $1 per year
• (FCRA: Do not use more than 7 years for screening purposes)
• 2 – 3 days turnaround
• No copies from court file provided; reports charges and disposition
• Need name, social security number and date of birth (race & sex helpful)

County Criminal History (10 years) with Copies - Felony and Misdemeanor

• $50 service fee, plus any copy cost, shipping and county fee
• Additional years can be searched at varying additional research fees
• Not to be used for employment or tenant screening purposes
• 2 – 3 days turnaround
• Arrest Report, Judgment, Sentence, and Probation Orders provided; reports charges and disposition
• Need name, social security number and date of birth (race & sex helpful)

Statewide Criminal History (7 years except for Florida) - Felony and Misdemeanor

• Florida: $38 service fee
• New York: $75 service fee
• Texas: $25 service fee
• West Virginia: not available (county only)
• Other states: $50 service fee
• Search of county records statewide except for FL & TX, which have public state repositories
• Limitations:
  • Certain counties may not report. Florida may only report misdemeanors associated with felonies.
  • Does not always report final disposition; may only report arrests.
• Used for pre-employment or tenant screening purposes generally; consider only 7 years on FL when screening
• No copies from court file provided; reports charges and disposition
• Need name, social security number and date of birth (race & sex helpful)

FBI National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Criminal History

• $75 service fee (call to discuss)
• Search of computerized index of FBI records (only true national criminal history search)
• Requires release form and fingerprint card
• 8 to 12 weeks turnaround time
• No copies from court file provided; reports charges and disposition.
• Need name, social security number and date of birth, race, sex & fingerprint card (obtained from a local sheriff’s office)

Are you familiar with the Fair Credit Reporting Act? You should be if you are using these reports for pre-employment or tenant screening purposes. Review our notice regarding the Fair Credit Reporting Act and review FCRA material on the federal guidelines for considering consumer information reports. We recommend Experian credit reports although Trans-union, Experian and CBI-Equifax available. CBI-Equifax search logic is rigid and may result in No Hit. Screening service request requires our consumer reports release form. Please note that most searches referenced here require the name, social security number and date of birth to retrieve accurate information. The last known address of the subject is usually helpful. Additional expenses may apply. Services not available for all states. Agency fees as well as transportation costs for copies obtained in workers comp or other searches are additional.
