CorpDirect can now generate Certificates of Goodstandings (CGS) in-house by electronic means for many states which reduces the time and costs involved with obtaining the certificate. When we provide a CGS to you by electronic retrieval rather than through over-the-counter retrieval, we are able to eliminate the correspondent fee, as well as the occasional over-the-counter state fee, so you will pay less total fees.

The total service fees to retrieve a certificate of goodstanding over-the-counter are $55, plus state fees and delivery. If you would prefer the electronic certificate, the service fees would be reduced to $35, plus state fees and delivery. Effective March 5th, when you request a CGS only from a state where we can produce the certificate in-house, you will receive an email from staff asking if you would prefer an electronic certificate in order to save fees. If you don't respond by the end of the day, we will proceed with over-the-counter retrieval in order not to delay your receipt of the certificate. When placing an order, you can request we obtain an electronic certificate when possible. You can also order your certificate onlines from CorpDirect.com, and the order process indicates when we can offer the certificates electronically.

Until such time as we are able to perform certified copy (CC) retrieval electronically, all CC orders will still have to be performed over-the-counter. In event you request a certification combo of a CGS and CC, please be aware that we will continue to obtain certification combos over-the-counter, without notice, unless you specific at the time of your order to provide an electronic CGS due to an immediate need.
